Full course description

This course is designed to provide an introduction to the role of language in diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) work. Language is an essential means through which humans signal their identities and the communities to which they belong, which makes it an important aspect of DEI. This course introduces the concept of language variation and its role in systems of inequity as well as how people can honor, accept, and harness linguistic diversity to promote inclusion in workplace and other spaces.  Course begins lasts four weeks, and includes an estimated 8 hours of work. 

Learners will receive 2 PDH for completion of this course.
